Verification helps SneezeIndex confirm that the person requesting control of a profile can demonstrate access to an established public creator account.

## What a verified badge means\n\n
A verified badge means SneezeIndex confirmed control of the public creator identity used to claim the profile. It does not mean SneezeIndex endorses, ranks, guarantees or professionally certifies the creator.

## How a profile can be verified\n\n
A creator starts from the Claim Profile page and identifies the SneezeIndex record they want to manage. SneezeIndex may issue a temporary verification code. The creator can place that code temporarily in an established public creator bio, profile or post that we can independently view. Once control is confirmed, the claim can be approved and linked to a SneezeIndex creator account.

Alternative verification methods may be considered when a platform cannot display the code, but SneezeIndex will not ask for platform passwords, private login credentials or payment information.

## What verified creators can update\n\n
Verified creators can submit a preferred safe profile image, current destinations, creator description, formats, interests and availability information. Fast-changing operational fields such as whether customs or commissions are currently open may be updated more frequently than historical profile details.

## What remains editorially reviewed\n\n
Content-level labels, destination safety labels, historical aliases, archived platform history, removal notes and evidence records remain subject to editorial review. This separation helps keep the directory useful even when a profile changes hands, a platform closes or a destination begins displaying a different type of content.

## Verification is free\n\n
SneezeIndex does not charge creators for identity verification. Paid promotional features, if offered in the future, will be clearly separated from verification and will not change the meaning of the verified badge.
